Overview

The 2011 Land Rover LR2 comes with an upgraded interior and exterior styling. A new front bumper and two bar grille lend a fresh look to the LR2 with three new colors and new alloy wheels. Inside, a new range of seat styles and a redesigned instrument cluster give the interior of the 2011 LR2 a fresh appearance. The Land Rover logo changes color from gold on green to a more contemporary bright silver on green for the 2011 model year. The LR2 is available in HSE, HSE Plus and HSE Lux trim levels.

Power and performance

A 3.2-liter, inline-6, engine good for 240-horsepower motivates the 2011 Land Rover LR2. The engine is teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive with CommandShift. It comes with Land Rover's Terrain Response system, which uses a console switch to alter suspension and powertrain calibrations to suit a variety of on-road and off-road conditions.

Body and styling

The 2011 LR2 comes with design enhancements both inside and out. A new front bumper assembly incorporating new front fog lamp bezels and a new front grille in Bright Finish mark the exterior. The list of new equipment continues with halogen projector headlamps, rear tail lamps with clear inner lens and a black lens surround and a body colored tailgate. New 18-inch alloy wheels are standard and 19-inch ones are optional. Also there are two new contemporary seat styles - Napoli leather and New Windsor leather - for the LUX Package. A 6/4-way electric adjustment is standard and 8/6-way electric adjustment included in the LUX Package seats. The finer details of the new color ways look more elegant.

Safety Features

The LR2 is equipped with advanced safety systems and technology, including a host of sophisticated stability control systems. Terrain Response is the most sophisticated four wheel-drive technology ensuring the LR2 is equipped for every surface. Four settings remain for 2011 catering for general driving, slippery conditions such as grass, gravel, or snow, mud and ruts and sand. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Hill Descent Control (HDC), driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags, full length side curtain airbags & inflatable driver's knee airbag, two rear ISOFIX child seat anchor points and rear seat head restraints are standard.
